Rockets Red Glare

Genevieve has been remembering seeing fireworks out the window with Grandma last year, so she's been excited for this week.  We got a few poppers to talk about fireworks safety and watched fireworks on TV since we were too tired to stay up for the local show.  We played Hanabi, which has been a great opportunity for practicing our numbers and counting.  We read The Scrambled States of America by Laurie Keller and some of the Felicity books from the American Girl Series.

We've also been playing with force this week.  We got some stomp rockets and had great fun running after them.  They also experimented with dad to see how high they could bounce balls.

We've been doing the Hokey Pokey and playing some Hide and Seek this week.  We also had a fun game night where Genevieve did pretty well at Takaido.  Camp Creativity was Frozen themed this week so Genevieve made a Model Magic Olaf and a snowflake out of beads.  Genevieve has practiced making some of her letters and numbers as well.
